There are many distributors and suppliers than will replace your lawn tractor tires for you but it is always recommended that you always know how to change your own tires on your lawn care equipment in case you ever need a change when these places are closed or unavailable.
To change and replace your lawn mower and tractor tires yourself you will need a screwdriver, valve stem tool, protective padding and some soapy water, preferably in a spray bottle. Once you have your supplies you can begin to jack up your piece of lawn care equipment.
Remove the axle pins on your lawn tractor tires after jacking it up, and then remove all of the air in it. Usually the tires have a valve you can simply pull to deflate the air. If your tire ends up sticking to the rim you may have to loosen it with a board or something else for leverage.
After this, you will need to change the protective pads for your lawn tractor’s tires. Once you have taken two of the tire irons out, place them above the tire’s rim. You will need three tire irons to help bead the tire free from the wheels. After removing the bottom and top beads you should clean the tube with your soapy water. Make sure to clean the tube thoroughly to get rid of any dirt or foreign objects.
Take your newly acquired tractor tires and begin placing them back on the rim and seat all of the beads. Next you want to install the stem, inflate the new tire and then finalize the mount of your tractor’s new tire. If it is your first time replacing your own lawn tires you may want to have a friend help or enlist the help of someone who has changed their own lawn tires before.
